Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (R) vetoed a bill that would have created a panel to standardize “personal use” amounts of various substances with the goal of “reducing the criminalization of personal drug use.” Advocates saw it as a first step toward decriminalization.
Kansas’s House minority leader is making a final push for lawmakers to reach a deal on a bill to legalize medical cannabis ahead of Monday’s end of session deadline.
