Two powerhouse names in cannabis edibles are joining forces.

Portland-based Wyld is acquiring fellow Oregon favorite Grön in a deal expected to close early this year pending regulatory approval, according to a news release issued by the companies.

“This acquisition is about scaling a brand that’s already winning,” Aaron Morris, founder and CEO of Wyld, said in a statement.

“Grön has built exceptional products and a deeply trusted brand. Our goal is to support its continued growth by pairing Grön’s creativity and innovation with Wyld’s infrastructure, reach and operational strength – without compromising what makes Grön special.”

While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the strategic implications are significant for the $4.8 billion edibles sector. The acquisition brings Grön’s premium chocolates and confectionery portfolio under the Wyld umbrella, which includes its signature gummies and the solventless hash rosin brand Good Tide.

Wyld operates in 16 states and Canada, reaching about 7,500 retail locations. Grön’s products are sold in nearly 4,500 stores across nine states and Canada.

When the acquisition is complete, the company will employ about 1,400 people, with Grön continuing to operate as a distinct, brand-led entity rather than being absorbed into Wyld packaging and branding.

“Joining forces with Wyld allows us to thoughtfully scale what we do best while staying true to who we are,” Christine Apple, founder and CEO of Grön, said in a statement. “We share the same values, the same standards and the same commitment to making exceptional edibles, and together we’re expanding our ability to bring that experience to more consumers without losing our roots.”
