With your help, we’ve legalized the possession and sale of marijuana for adults in 24 states. But our journey toward cannabis freedom is far from over. In 13 states, over 40 percent of all drug arrests are for marijuana violations, and many of these arrests can lead to significant jail time. Patients in medical cannabis states are still unable to travel out of state with their medicine. Across the nation, many consumers lack employment protections and risk losing custody of their children simply because they use cannabis rather than either alcohol or prescription medicines.
As a consumer advocacy organization, NORML is pushing back against these injustices. We need your help to be successful.
As we wind down 2024, we have an audacious goal: to raise $20,000 by the end of this year. These funds are vital for us so that we can continue delivering impactful messaging and advocacy.
YOUR MONTHLY DONATION MATTERS
Your monthly donation is an investment in sustained cannabis advocacy. NORML relies on the generosity of grassroots supporters like you to spread our message of freedom and to advocate for legislative change.
IMPACT OF YOUR DONATION
- Educational Outreach: We constantly post informative content on our website and social channels to better educate advocates and influencers. Our weekly newsletters go out to over 300,000 activists worldwide.
- Stronger Advocacy: Your support boosts our efforts, and those of our many chapters nationwide, to advocate for better cannabis laws at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Online Presence: NORML’s robust digital presence is key to our success. NORML is among the most visited marijuana resources on the Internet and on social media.
- Media Outreach and Engagement: NORML staff engage in hundreds of media interviews and place dozens of op-eds in major media markets, advocating for cannabis consumers’ interests and pushing back against prohibitionists’ rhetoric.
EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Your contribution, no matter the size, is crucial. Your support is more than just a donation; it’s a commitment to a future where cannabis is rightfully recognized and respected, and those who use it responsibly no longer face discrimination and injustice.
