Many of you have reached out to us over the past few days with concerns regarding NORML’s Facebook page. On Thursday, July 31, NORML’s Meta account was compromised and the spam content you are now seeing posted there is not from NORML.
Meta Support has opened an investigation and informed us that it can take over two weeks for access to be restored. They’ve also made clear that we may not be able to recover the stolen assets. You can help by reporting the posts and page to Meta.
NORML has been thoughtfully curating Facebook content since 2008. Losing access has been devastating for our team and deeply disappointing for our community. If we are ultimately not able to recover the page, we will start a new one and alert you by email.In the meantime, please take a moment to follow us on our other socials.
