Sales of recreational and medical marijuana sales in Missouri reached $125.9 million in April, an increase of 4.86% year-over-year.
However, total monthly sales in Missouri were down from $130.95 million in March, Greenway Magazine reported, citing Division of Cannabis Regulation data.
Adult-use sales hit $111.1 million in April, up from $104.6 million during the same month a year ago.
Medical marijuana sales dropped slightly from $15.5 million in April 2024 to $14.8 million last month.
Daily sales averaged $4.2 million in April, up from $4 million during the same month last year.
For the year, Missouri’s cannabis sales are at $495.87 million through the end of April – about 6% higher than the $467.92 million during the same period a year ago.
Since Missouri legalized medical marijuana in 2018, cannabis businesses in the state have recorded more than $3.9 billion in sales.
The market is expected to cross the $4 billion mark before the fall, according to Greenway.
Monthly sales in 2025 have surpassed sales for each corresponding month last year.
It the pace continues, marijuana sales for the year could reach more than the $1.6 billion in 2024.
